Workforce Development Task Force Created
The AMBA 2021 Workforce Development Task Force consists of AMBA mold-making members and seeks to complete multiple development projects this year.
In late 2020, the American Mold Builders Assn. (AMBA) decided to address workforce development in a way that it felt would be impactful to its membership. As part of this decision, the trade group created the 2021 Workforce Development Task Force, consisting of AMBA mold manufacturers, with a goal of completing one to two workforce development-oriented projects in 2021.
Objectives for the project’s completion include the compilation of a resource guide on interviewing and onboarding, including gathering insights and resources related to assessment profiles, aptitude tests, interview questions, characteristics of successful candidates, recruitment strategies and more.
Additionally, the task force will seek to develop and execute a seminar and/or half-day workshop that will be professionally facilitated. It will also work to build industry visibility using multi-channel media sources for regional and national publicity of AMBA's mold manufacturers active in workforce development efforts.
