At the upcoming K 2022 show in Düsseldorf (Oct. 19-26), of Japan, a subsidiary of Japan Steel Works (JSW), will introduce the TJS line of all-electric cointinuous-extrusion shuttle blow molders with updated controls and internet connectivity. The range of product sizes for these machines is 5 to 20 liters. The TJS25A-M at the show will mold a three-layer, 20L jerrycan with handle, using Tahara’s own coex die head. The middle layer is composed of repelletized marine plastic waste.

TJS machines sport a new 22-in. color touchscreen with web connectivity for remote troubleshooting by Tahara technicians.
A key feature is controls with new 22-in. color touchscreen designed for easy navigation by even an inexperienced operator. Internet connectivity for these controls allows real-time remote troubleshooting by Tahara technicians. Also notable is the new DRWA (Die Radial Wall-Thickness Adjustor) offered in collaboration with JSW. Two motors on right and left sides of the head push and pull the ring inside the head to allow adjustment of wall-thickness concentricity from the operator panel using just a finger. Adjustments can be made even while operating.
Tahara, which launched the world’s first all-electric machine in 1994, makes only electric machines today.
New on TJS machines is DRWA electronic parison wall-thickness concentricity adjustment, which can be operated using just a finger.
