LyondellBasell Plexar PX3390 for LLDPE Tie Layer
Tie layer supports downgaging and oxygen barrier coextrusion.
LyondellBasell (LYB) announced the addition of a new high-performance LLDPE tie layer to the Plexar portfolio, Plexar PX3990, for film orientation applications. The tie layer represents an additional high-performance solution in the LYB tie layer product line.
According to the company, Plexar PX3990 is designed for processability and adhesion after machine direction orientation (MDO) and further promotes the sustainability of MDO film by enabling downgauging compared to nonorientated films. Besides shrink film, Plexar PX3990 can also be a viable solution for many demanding applications in the oxygen barrier coextrusion film market.
