Hasco America says its RFIF H1400/... tag advances intelligent tool networking with the integration of radio frequency identification (RFID) technology into its . This integrated RFID technology enables moldmakers to quickly and easily identify individual components in injection molding tools, offering rapid access to comprehensive details about the components to save both time and costs, and streamlining part ordering.
This digital networking for moldmaking features the company’s RFID chip A5910/... which is now integrated into a high-quality, printed aluminum H1400/... tag, providing a valuable supplement to the hot runner systems. The robust component features compact dimensions of 20 x 80 x 4 mm. It can be screwed directly to the tool, remaining permanently assigned to it — thus preventing it from being lost or mixed up.
The RFID chip can be read at any time without contact with an NFC-enabled device. All relevant data such as CAD drawings, parts lists, specifications or test reports can be accessed directly via the Hasco app, even with built-in tools. The operating temperature is up to 80°C as standard. At higher temperatures, the sign can be easily attached, for example, to the junction box.
The RFID H1400/... tags are now not only used for hot sides and wired systems, but are also included in pure hot runners. The required installation space is clearly indicated in the data transmitted in advance and can already be taken into account during the tool design. This enables the advantages of the technology to be used even if no hot side is ordered.
In addition, systems that have already been delivered can be retrofitted with the RFID tag — simply, quickly and without much effort.
The digital parts lists are now directly linked to the Hasco online shop. Registered users can order spare parts within seconds. Delivery usually takes place within 24 hours, so downtimes can be reduced to a minimum.
The RFID technology is integrated into new systems at no extra charge and enables simple, fast and forgery-proof identification. This latest features is designed to set new standards for intelligent and service-friendly hot runner technology — digital, robust and maximally efficient.
