High-Payload Palletizing Robot
Yaskawa Motoman’s PL800 palletizing robot offers an 800-kg payload with flexibility for a range of palletizing, layer picking, and other logistical applications.
Yaskawa Motoman (Dayton, Oh.) has extended the PL-series of robots, adding the PL800 with an 800-kg payload. The PL800 has a horizontal reach of 3159 mm (124 in) and a vertical reach of 3024 mm (119 in). The robot’s parallel-link structure provides rigidity and stabilization for heavy loads, and the T-axis features a 100-mm (4-in) pass-through for connections to the end-of-arm tool.
A single cable connects the manipulator to the controller, and lines for air and other cables are routed internally from the base to the end-of-arm tool. A cable installation tube eases fieldbus routing to the upper arm and/or gripper.
Offering an IP54-rated wrist and body as standard, the PL800 can be floor-mounted. The robot is controlled by Yaskawa’s YRC1000 controller featuring a compact cabinet measuring 23.5 by 19 by 17 in. A lightweight teach pendant features intuitive programming. The PL800 is also available with Yaskawa’s PalletSolver software for offline creation of palletizing patterns.
