Customizable Water Temperature Control Systems and Combo Heating and Chilling Systems
Mokon has introduced the Xchange-Therm line with customizable water temperature controls and combination heating and chilling units offering temperature ranges from -20° to 300°F.
Mokon (Buffalo, N.Y.) has launched the Xchange-Therm line providing heating, cooling, or heating and cooling designs with temperatures ranging from -20 to 300°F (-29 to 149°C). Mokon says the systems can be operated in line with a hot water or steam boiler or with a supplied chilled fluid source.
The units have heating capacity up to 96 kW, with chilling capacity up to 60 tons. Featuring NEMA/Type 1 panels, the systems reportedly have a small hold-up volume and energy-efficient heater design, including a stainless steel pump, composite impeller and silicon-carbide seal. The units feature safety shutoff switches and removable panels for easy maintenance access, and are mounted on heavy-duty removable casters for mobility. They are equipped with a cULus 508A-labeled electrical subpanel, and custom designs, options, international certifications and accessories are available.
For the Xchange-Therm direct-injection water system, temperatures range up to 250°F, with 1-, 1 1/2-, 3- and 5-hp units available. All have an approximate footprint of 34 by 17 by 28 in, with flow rates from 25 to 80 gpm and pressures from 25 to 80 psi. There are also indirect injection Xchange-Therm water systems with the same horsepower, flow rate and pressure ranges available.
For the Xchange-Therm heating and chilling system, there are five units available with 1/2-, 1 1/2-, 2-, 3- and 5-hp models, featuring flow rates from 15 to 80 gpm and pressures from 15 to 28 psi.

Mokon’s water-based Xchange-Therm temperature control system offers a combination of heating and chilling in one unit with temperatures from 20° to 250°F.
