Uniloy Inc. will install two all-electric stock shuttle machines in Tecumseh, Michigan, this year. A model UCS30.ED 5+5 CoEx3 with ability to run three layers and recycled resins will arrive in July, while a smaller monolayer model UCS14.ED 4+4 (pictured) is due in September.
“Having these two machines at our headquarters confirms that Uniloy is fully invested in shuttle technology here in the U.S.,” says Tim Tomlin, vice president of sales and key accounts at Uniloy. “Having them on-site means we can provide quick delivery to our customers.”
Tomlin further explained, “Historically, our shuttle machines were predominantly supported from Italy. The U.S. is making a significant investment in our shuttle ´óÏó´«Ã½ by the purchase of FGH’s lab machines and moldmaking operation last year. Also, we are beefing up our service support and parts inventory and mold manufacturing for our shuttle turnkey systems.”
