PolySource Now an Official Topas COC Distribution Partner
Technically advanced materials distributor adds to its arsenal of specialty thermoplastics for healthcare and electronics.
Techically advanced materials distributor PolySource, Independence, Mo., has added Topas cyclic olefin copolymer (COC)--a glass-clear and incredibly pure plastic for healthcare, packaging, and electronics applications--to its arsenal of specialty thermoplastics.
According to Scott Klingler, director of sales for Polyplastics USA, Farmington, Mich., the appointment of PolySource was an obvious choice to extend its Topas COC development reach. “The management team at Polyplastics has been very pleased with PolySource’s ability to grow their ´óÏó´«Ã½ in all global regions with our brands. In Polyplastics’ effort to expand and grow the Topas COC product line, the partnership will leverage PolySource’s ability to develop new ´óÏó´«Ã½ as an application focused ´óÏó´«Ã½ with the expertise to support existing and new injection molding programs.” The two companies have been collaborating since 2014 on the development of new applications for Polyplastics’ Duracon POM, Duranex PBT and Durafide PPS brands, according to Polyplastics USA CEO & president Takumi Saito.
