These colorants are recommended for use with high-performance TPEs like Hytrel TPEs from DuPont, Wilmington, applications such as wire and cable insulation, jackets, and fiber-optic buffers, as well as injection- and blow-molded parts, film, sheet, and profiles. They contain no heavy-metal pigments, yet have been formulated to provide the same intensity and coloring efficiency as conventional colorants for copolyester TPEs, which are often used in challenging applications due to their exceptional toughness, rubberlike resilience, chemical resistance and good performance at temperature extremes, according to market manager Eric Kalls.
