WEB EXCLUSIVE: , Houston, has started-up a world-scale 66.1 million lb/yr nylon 66 compounding facility in Pensacola, Fla. The new line adds capability to produce unique, high-performance Vydyne compounds, according to global marketing director Dharm Vahalia. Ascend is one of the world’s largest producers of nylon 66 materials. It has tripled its resin capacity since 2005 to over 5.5 billion lb.
