System Checks Hot Runner Heaters, Sensors
Meusburger’s new profiTEMP TM hot runner diagnosis device is especially designed for electrical testing of heaters and sensors, as well as preheating the hot runner.
Meusburger has introduced the profiTEMP TM, featuring MoldCheck, a complete diagnosis of the condition of the heaters and sensors as well as the wiring of a hot runner. The diagnostic result can be saved as a PDF file on a USB flash drive. The range of functions and operation are especially tailored to the needs of moldmakers, as well as maintenance and service departments, Meusburger says. The heating fuses are accessible from the outside, and the profiTEMP TM offers the option of heating up and preheating the hot runner.
The complete system is compact and lightweight and reportedly features intuitive navigation. The preheating function serves to reduce set-up times, and the device enables targeted support for hot runner troubleshooting.
The profiTEMP checks 12 zones and features 15-amp heating outputs. Controls are via a 7-in touchscreen, and the user interface comes in 15 languages. There is a USB port for data export and update of firmware, and the entire device measures 200 by 260 by 400 mm (8 by 10 by 15 ¾ in).
