'Smart' Feeders, Blenders, QC Solutions
Patented technology cuts additive costs, is easy to clean.
On display at the Extrusion 2021 Conference, the Ampacet LIAD Smart line of equipment offers patented technology for feeders, blenders and real-time quality control color solutions.
The LIAD Smart ColorSave 1000 gravimetric feeder features the exclusive Smart-Clean design that quickly purges the feeder automatically to improve safety and save time. Simply press the “empty” button and colorant is purged in just 10 sec. Remaining colorant or masterbatch returns to the storage chamber. ColorSave 1000 also features an outer protective shell with an inner floating weigh hopper and single-point load cell to ensure accuracy, even in industrial settings affected by vibration.
Ampacet also offers LIAD Smart ColorSave Micro, reportedly the industry’s first gravimetric feeder for micro molding and extrusion applications. The easy-to-clean feeder is ideal for medical micro-molding applications requiring clean rooms as well as other applications requiring precise continuous delivery of very small quantities of additives or colors.

The new LIAD Smart Dual Save feeder delivers ultra-precise dosing for two ingredients. It’s ideal for integration of masterbatch, additives and regrind. The Automatic Compensation Feature adjusts colorant dosing when using regrind. The exclusive Easy Clean design allows material to be drained from the hopper and screw without disassembly.
