PTXPO Preview: LS Mtron Runs All-Electric theOne in Rosemont
The all-electric press will connect with auxiliaries in its booth via the LS Smart Factory MES application.
At (March 18-20 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois), LS Mtron will feature its “theOne* 145E”, all-electric injection molding machine. Featuring an i4.2 injection unit, the machine will utilize a high-output 36-mm plasticizing screw and a Keba control to mold tinted polystyrene airline cups.
The four-cavity tool will feature a Yudo valve-gate eight-zone hot runner system, which has been integrated into the machine’s control. Finished cups will be removed by a Campetella GS2-2000 top-entry, high-speed, 3-axis take robot, with end-of-arm-tooling from Campetella as well. Process cooling and heating comes via a self-contained Frigel Ram80/6 chiller, with resin handling and drying via Dri-Air equipment. All the equipment will be networked together via the LS Smart Factory MES System.
