Next Generation of Ultrasonic Bonding Technology
Dukane’s Infinity family boasts accurate control maintained through all phases of the welding process.

What is positioned as a next generation ultrasonic bonding technology has been launched by Dukane. The new servo-driven Infinity family of ultrasonic welders with the company’s Melt-Match technology is said to maintain accurate control of all phases of the welding process. This line of ultrasonic welders, which boasts reliability and repeatability, is available in frequencies: 15kHz, 20kHz, 30kHz, 35kHz, and 40kHz. These robust welders can be used as benchtop units or easily integrated into any automation line.

The Infinity line provides a smaller footprint, ease of wiring and integration, new rigid booster, column, & base to minimize deflection for greater accuracy and repeatability. Infinity’s shorter thruster height is said to pack more power and functionality into a compact system. The technology is also said to provide multiple welding modes, shorter cycle time using faster downstroke and upstroke speed, and the flexibility of mounting vertically or horizontally. Infinity is Industry 4.0 ready and accepts all industrial communication protocol connectivity forms.
Jon Olsen, manufacturing engineer at medical device manufacturer Nordson Medical, an early adapter of the Infinity technology noted, “Dukane collaborated with us every step of the way when we were developing our ultrasonic welding processes. We chose them because they had developed and packaged an extremely user-friendly platform with an interface that made managing and tracking the outcomes simple and quick.”
