Measure Viscosity Precisely, Repeatably
NPE2024: The PVS viscometer from LAUDA Scientific is billed as the routine instrument for aggressive solvents in polymer chemistry.
The PVS viscometer from is billed as the routine instrument for aggressive solvents in polymer chemistry. With a high sample throughput and maximum work safety, it provides largely fully automated, precise and reproducible results. The PVS-based autosampler has become indispensable in many polymer laboratories worldwide, the company says.
Customer-specific configurations enable the instrument to be adapted to individual applications. If these change, existing systems can be extended and adapted at any time because of its modular design. Software modules for GLP, CFR part11 compliance and database connection are optional. Standard-compliant measurements require glass capillary viscometers. The Visco.Fix system makes them reliable, clean and safe.
The iVisc is the transfer model from stopwatch to automatic measurement.
The power supply via USB enables a flexible use in the laboratory.
The iVisc compact, intelligent viscosity measuring stand is designed for a large spectrum of standard glass capillary viscometers (for example, Ubbelohde and Cannon-Fenske).
Placing it in a suitable LAUDA thermostat (such as LAUDA ET 15 S, Viscocool 6 or Viscotemp 18) and using the corresponding glass capillary viscometer, the kinematic viscosities in the range from 0.3 to 30,000 mm²/sec. can be determined. A wide range of applications can be accommodated as a result.
