Fakuma: Larger, Modular, Multicomponent Injection Molding Line
Arburg introduces the Allrounder More at Fakuma, promising more space for bigger molds and longer ejector strokes plus flexible positioning of injection units.
At the Fakuma show (Oct. 12-16; Friedrichshafen, Germany), Arburg will launch the Allrounder More, a new series of multi-component injection molding machines initially available in two tonnages: 160 and 200 tons. Providing greater distances between the tiebars, the Allrounder More can accommodate bigger tools with longer ejector strokes. Designed with modularity in mind, Arburg says positioning of the injection units is more flexible, with plug-in media couplings and an optimized material feed easing use.
Available for order starting in October 2021, the Allrounder More machines feature electric toggle-style clamping units with liquid-cooled servomotors as standard. When the series launches, the machines will come with two electric injection units and the aforementioned tonnages of approximately 160 and 200 tons. In the future, Arburg says customers will be able to select injection positions using modules. At launch, Arburg will offer one horizontal and one vertical injection unit as standard. Horizontal, parallel vertical, parallel horizontal, and angled injection units will additionally be available as options.
More Room Between the Platens, Tiebars
The distance between tiebars is 570 by 570 mm (22.4 in), with a maximum platen daylight of 1200 mm (47.2 in). This reflects an extension of the tiebars by 200 mm (approximately 8 in.), with the moving mold platen also enlarged by just under 8 in. In addition, the sliding guard has been widened by 400 mm (nearly 16 in).
Easier Maintenance
Arburg says plug-in media couplings for electricals, water and hydraulics ease service and machine modifications, while the cylinder module can be changed in just a few steps. The vertical injection unit is positioned on a support frame that is placed on the ground and can be transported separately from the machine if needed. Hose guides help route hoses and eliminate chafing of lines.

Arburg will launch its Allrounder More multicomponent injection molding machine at Fakuma 2021.
