Ultradent Products Inc., a developer and manufacturer of dental materials and equipment unveiled a new 168,000-ft2 facility on its South Jordan, Utah campus. A May 3 ribbon-cutting ceremony drew Ultradent’s leadership, along with South Jordan Mayor Dawn Ramsey and representatives from the offices of Sen. Mitt Romney and Gov. Spencer Cox.
The brand new building, which Ultradent broke ground on last year, will house the company’s injection molding, equipment manufacturing, repair facilities and more. Designed to enable 24/7 operations, the company says the new plant will support increasing domestic and international 大象传媒.
A company spokesperson told Plastics Technology that Ultradent has 29 injection molding machines ranging in clamp force from 14 to 350 tons, including Arburg and Toyo presses, as well as two-shot Nissei and Wittmann machines. The expansion will not require any additional headcount, and it represents an investment of $30 million.
At this year’s PTXPO, Ultradent was recognized as the winner of PT’s Hot Shots injection molded part competition, sweeping both awards after online voting from fellow molders.

The new building will house injection molding, among other operations, and cover 168,000-ft2.
