CG Roxane’s goal is to produce 32.9 million pounds of recycled PET this year, between the Benton plant and its plant in San Bernandino, CA. The company’s strategy to integrate recycling and molding into its operations is expected to yield gains in control and efficiency.
“Building on our experience from opening our San Bernardino, CA, rPET plant in late 2019, we know that consumers are actively looking for direct and convenient ways to be more sustainable,” says Luke Genthe, special projects engineer at CG Roxane. “Making our own rPET pellets, combined with virgin PET at our bottling plants, gives us quick control over bottle production and access to a reliable material.”
