Seaway Plastics Acquired
Private equity firm ICG purchased the injection molder and its three facilities located in Florida and California.
ICG North American Direct Private Equity group has acquired Seaway Plastics Engineering, an injection molding company founded in 1984 and serving the medical device, healthcare and specialty industrial market, among others. In addition to plastics injection molding, Seaway provides design for manufacturing and post-manufacturing services, focusing on complex, low-to-mid-volume production.
Seaway was acquired by Tonka Bay Equity Partners in 2015, which in turn had Seaway acquire Wright Engineered Plastics in Santa Rosa, Calif. Seaway is headquartered in Port Richey, Fl. Its other facility is located in Brooksville, Fl. The company’s three ISO 13485 locations cover 130,000-ft2. It has more than 250 employees.
