Progressive Components Completes Headquarters Remodel
The mold technology and component supplier completed a facility-wide overhaul of its office and warehouse.
Progressive Components, Wauconda, Illinois, recently completed an extensive remodel of its headquarters. Built in 1995, the 15,000-ft2 structure has gone through additions and modifications over the years, but Progressive says this was the first extensive, plantwide overhaul of the office areas and warehousing portions of the building.
In the warehouse, the company installed two 21-ft vertical lift modules (VLM), which can house thousands of products, as well as traditional shelving incorporating barcoding technology. Progressive says these upgrades will improve inventory accuracy, productivity and daily order fulfillment capacity.
In the building’s office space, several walls were removed to create a more open and spacious environment that features all new carpet and furniture. The project began in 2022, with its completion celebrated with a ribbon-cutting event in the fall of 2023, which included community leaders and industry representatives. In addition to this location, Progressive has regional service centers in California and South Carolina, as well as staff in Europe and Singapore.
