NatureWorks Reaches Distribution Agreements
The maker of Ingeo PLA bioresins has reached distribution agreements with Bamberger Polymers and Channel Prime Alliance.
Bamberger Polymers, Jericho, New York, has expanded its sustainability portfolio via a distribution partnership with NatureWorks for its Ingeo PLA bioresin. Earlier in November, Channel Prime Alliance (CPA), Des Moines, Iowa, announced a new branded distribution partnership with NatureWorks. With this new partnership, CPA was named an authorized distributor in the U.S. and Canada of the Ingeo biopolymer grades for injection molding, extrusion and 3D printing applications.
Bamberger said in a release that customers in several key markets have expressed notable interest for bio-based materials like PLA for a diverse range of applications from food packaging and food serviceware like cups, trays, lids, straws and cutlery to film solutions for yard waste, produce bags and mulch films.
NatureWorks has 330 million pounds of capacity in Blair, Nebraska, with plans to add another 150 million pounds via its new production facility in Thailand, which is expected to be operational in 2024.
Bamberger Polymers is a worldwide resin distributor offering commodity and engineering thermoplastics, both branded and private label, shipping more than 1.5 billion pounds of bulk and packaged resins to manufacturers annually.
