RSP has already worked with over 40 companies, using 80,000 tons of recycled plastic diverted from waterways. According to RSP CEO Mike Ryan, the carbon impact is equivalent to the amount generated by burning 15,753 gallons of gasoline, or alternately the amount sequestered by 120 acres of trees in a year.
RSP has spent five years testing the material differences between virgin and recycled plastics, in order to make the transition as seamless as possible for its customers. According to the company, customer feedback has been positive.
RSP offerings include injection molded, blow molded, and extruded marine plastic materials. Some are even available as food-grade.
