LyondellBasell Acquires Producer of Recycled Compounds
LyondellBasell completed the acquisition of the Mepol Group of Italy and Poland
Netherlands-based LyondellBasell announced the completion of its acquisition of the , a manufacturer of recycled technical compounds located in Italy and Poland. The Mepol Group and its subsidiaries will become part of the Advanced Polymer Solutions ´óÏó´«Ã½ unit of LyondellBasell.
Acquisition will bolster LyondellBasell’s presence in recycled compounds.

The Advanced Polymer Solutions segment produces and markets compounding solutions, such as polypropylene compounds, engineered plastics, masterbatches, engineered composites, colors and powders.
LyondellBasell says the acquisition is part of its positioning to address the rapidly growing demand for circular and renewable solutions through its integrated value chain approach. The company has committed to produce and market at least 2 million metric tons of polymers from recycled or renewable-based sources annually by 2030.
