KraussMaffei Names New VP Automation
Mike Gunner will serve as the VP of Automation for the global supplier of plastics processing machinery, joining the company from the Mikron Group.
On May 16, 2022, Mike Gunner joined KraussMaffei Corp. as vice president, automation. Gunner comes to KM from the U.S. subsidiary of international automation supplier, Mikron Group. Gunner held the roles of Applications Engineering Manager, VP of Sales, and general manager/president over his 12 years with Mikron.
Prior to Mikron, Gunner worked for Advanced Automation and the Doerfer Companies in Greenville, S.C., serving in numerous operational roles including control engineering manager, project manager and applications engineering management. KM notes that Gunner has been in the automation industry for his entire career and has experience with many of the vertical markets KM supplies, including medical, automotive and general industry.
Gunner has a background in electrical engineering and controls, holding a B.Sc with Honors, as well as a Ph.D., from the University of Hull, England. He has officially relocated to Kentucky and will be based out of KM’s operation in Florence, Ky.
