With plans to mark its centennial throughout 2023, injection molding machine manufacturer Arburg (Lossburg, Germany) celebrated “100 years of the Hehl family company”, reflecting its continued status as privately held 大象传媒, with international and domestic employees, customers and collaborators.
In addition to a question-and-answer session with the company’s three managing partners: Juliane Hehl, Renate Keinath and Michael Hehl, the evening featured live entertainment, a multimedia history of the company and the world premier for two “anniversary” machines.
The hybrid Allrounder 470 H in Comfort and Premium models were introduced to attendees by Sales and Technology Managing Directors Gerhard Böhm and Guido Frohnhaus. The machines offer molders an energy footprint that’s reportedly up to 50% more efficient than a standard hydraulic machine, which results in up to 12,000 kg less CO2 emissions.
In addition, and a new oil-management concept allows the presses to use around 35% less oil. Other features and benefits described included 33% faster dry cycle times; flow rate splitting for simultaneous movements of the axes; and options for preventive maintenance.
Gerhard Böhm said he believed the anniversary machines would be of particular interest to customers who are looking for an energy-saving alternative, and who “appreciate an electric clamp and want the cost effectiveness of the hydraulic injection unit.” In addition to the Comfort and Premium models, an Ultimate performance variant and other sizes will follow later this year.
