American Injection Molding Institute to Launch Workforce Development Program at PTXPO
The Beaumont Technologies subsidiary is introducing the program, which identifies and fills knowledge gaps within a workforce, at the new PTXPO this March in Chicago.
Injection molding training, testing and technology supplier Beaumont Technologies is offering a new training service through its subsidiary the American Injection Molding (AIM) Institute called Workforce Development. This new service will provide a summary of the current knowledge of a molder’s workforce; compare that knowledge to the industry average; and then provide specific recommendations tailored for each employee. Beaumont and the American Injection Molding (AIM) Institute will debut the program at (March 29-31; Donald E. Stephens Convention Center; Rosemont, Ill. in booth 813).
Beaumont said in a release that the primary goal of this new service is to determine an individualized educational pathway for all employees so that will not only be proficient in their current role but become prepared to take on additional responsibilities in the future. Further, the service is designed to identify and fill knowledge gaps within a company’s workforce. Beaumont says the AIM Institute will undertake all the education and training, allowing the employer to focus on developing and retaining staff.
Jason Travitz, AIM Institute instructor said in a release that the service will focus on the individual’s current job function and knowledge, and then address future goals. Doing so means the workers will be steered towards the educational courses that will give them the knowledge and skills to excel in their current roles and create a pathway to reach future goals.
Molders that utilize the Workforce Development program start by providing a list of employee’s and job their descriptions, and then each employee takes an individual assessment that will be analyzed by the AIM instructor team. Next, a customized development plan will be provided for the company’s workforce, and finally students will be assessed before and after the coursework to demonstrate where knowledge was increased and any applicable skills improvement.
