Amcor Announces Coatings Research Effort With Nfinite Nanotechnology
Project will test use of nanocoating technology for recyclable and compostable packaging.
Packaging producer announced a joint research project with . The validation study will test the application of Nfinite’s nanocoating technology to Amcor’s recyclable and compostable packaging material. The purpose of the coating is to improve oxygen barrier performance.

Collaboration between Amcor and Nfinite began in 2022 with the selection of Nfinite as a winner of funds from Amcor’s “Lift-Off” initiative. The competition awards seed money to start up companies with innovative solutions in the packaging space.
Upon successful completion of validation, the next stage of development will be to ensure the products are optimized for Amcor’s manufacturing process and analyze additional substrates.
