Absolute Names New VP of Sales
Absolute Group, which includes Absolute Haitian and Absolute Robot, promoted Sherman McGinnis to be its VP of sales.
Absolute Group of Companies (Worcester, Mass.) has named Sherman McGinnis as VP of sales, placing him in charge of Absolute Haitian’s injection molding machinery and Absolute Robot’s (ARI) automation equipment. Under this promotion, McGinnis, who joined Absolute as the southeast regional sales manager in August 2016, will also provide sales direction for Absolute Machinery and Williston Asset Management, the organization’s surplus, appraisal, and auction companies.
A 32-year veteran of the injection molding industry, McGinnis’ work history includes experience at injection molding companies; owning his own company; production management; project management; mold building and purchasing; and molding machine purchasing. He will continue to be based in Morristown, Tenn., near Knoxville. In a release, Glenn Frohring, co-owner of Absolute Haitian and Absolute Robot, said the move will free up the ownership group “to focus on the breadth of the Absolute Group of Companies.”
