SIPA Acquires Automa PET Bottle Machine Line
SIPA adds rotary single-stage machines to its arsenal.
, the Italian blow molding machine builder, has acquired all activities related to production of injection stretch-blow molding machines at the former Automa S.p.A. in Italy. SIPA (U.S. office in Atlanta), which produces both linear single-stage (integrated) and two-stage (reheat) stretch-blow machines, now also has the rotary single-stage machines from Automa, such as the 80-metric-ton NSB-80 pictured here. SIPA also supplies preform injection systems.
Last September, Automa was acquired out of liquidation by another Italian firm, OverEngineering S.r.l., which provides maintenance and rebuilding of blow molding machines. It created a new firm, , which continues to produce shuttle-type and accumulator-head extrusion blow molders and injection-blow machines.
