has moved to a new building nearly double the size of its previous space. The new facility is in Warrendale, Pa., near Pittsburgh and a little more than 10 miles from the previous location in Emsworth. According to Jim Healy, v.p. of sales and marketing, the move was prompted by double-digit growth in sales and the desire to provide enhanced capabilities for customer training and application development. The new building is 16,500 ft2 (vs. 9150 ft2 before), including much larger office space, an 800-ft2 training room with an 18-ft ceiling to accommodate large robots, and a workshop area for assembly, testing, and warehouse space.
Healy says that in the last five years, North America has gone from being the #3 global market for Sepro (based in France) to the #1 position, accounting for almost a quarter of company sales.
