RheTech Agrees To Acquisition By Hexpol
Sweden's Hexpol is acquiring Michigan's compounder RheTech.
, Whitmore Lake, Mich., a leading North American compounder of filled and reinforced PP, nylon and other engineered resin compounds as well as multi-functional color concentrates and additives, has agreed to be acquired by Sweden’s , a global compounder of engineered compounders and specialist in thermoplastic elastomers. Completion of the transaction is expected within first quarter.
According to John Levinson, president and CEO of RheTec, the company will maintain its current management, production lines, facilities and employee structure. RheTech has been majority owned by the Orley family of Southeast Michigan for over 45 years. Its compounds are sold into the automotive, truck, electronics, construction, and consumer markets.
