Plastics Technology's Drying Supplement
Learn from the experts, including savvy processors, on how to get drying done right.
Lots of processors view drying as a necessarily evil. Unlike blending, they perceive drying as a step that adds no value to their process or product, as an operation that makes them no money. Too many treat it that way. That's unfortunate, as drying is critical to maintaining an efficient and high quality process anywhere hygroscopic resin is involved. Yet processors still tend to stumble somewhat in this area. They can't blame equipment; suppliers of dryers have advanced their technology to the same—if not greater—extent as any other equipment category. There's more in the way of user-friendly controls, automated self-regulation, energy savings, flexibility, and just about everything else, than ever before.
All of this is all why Plastics Technology is devoting this first ever technical Plastics Drying Supplement. We’ve intended this supplement to be “evergreen.” Our goal is to present information that would be useful to you now as well as tomorrow, next month, and next year. We hope we’ve met this objective.
