Next Generation Films Plans Big Expansion
Ohio processor to spend $75 million on new facility, equipment.
Next Generation Films is spending $75 million to expand its blown film operation in Lexington, Ohio. The firm is adding 80 acres to its existing campus, building a new plant, and buying new equipment in an expansion that's expected to add 60 jobs.
Dave Frecka, Next Generation's CEO, say the company will fill its new plant with leading edge technology to mix with its “own brand of magic” and set the standard for film in the industry. This will include the purchase of "several" Varex blown film lines from Windmoeller & Hoelscher Corp.., Lincoln, R.I. “We’ve chosen W&H for future growth based on the success we’ve experienced together over the past years,” Frecka notes
Currently in the ground-breaking phase, Next Generation's expansion is projected to be completed by June 2017.
