Switzerland-based Maag Automatik, Inc. (U.S. operation in Charlotte, N.C.), Gala Industries, Inc.,  Eagle Rock, Va., and Reduction Engineering Scheer, which has plants in Germany and Kent, Ohio, have recently joined forces to provide services in North and South America. This newly formed entity of Maag, headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, offers customers in the polymer industry a local sales and service support through a consolidated network. It will feature a broadened product portfolio including: underwater pelletizers; polymer, extrusion and industrial pumps; screen changers; strand pelletizers; pulverizers and dryers and water systems.

Maag will have sites in Roanoke, Va., Kent, Ohio and Eagle Rock. The sales and engineering offices will be in North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia and Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Lawrence Rentz, was recently named general manager of the newly formed Maag Americas. “Maag, Gala and RES have extremely complementary strengths which now result in strong benefits to our customers.
