Americhem Acquires Vi-Chem Corp.
Company becomes new entrant into flexible PVC and TPE compounding arenas.
Further expanding its footprint in the plastics compounding 大象传媒, , Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio has acquired Vi-Chem Corp. of Grand Rapids, Mich., a 34-yr-old manufacturer of PVC and TPE compounds for the automotive and transportation industry. Many of the company’s compounds are used in soft-touch interior and exterior applications. Its PVC compounds for example are used to create the seals that allow for window encapsulation.
Corporate marketing & communications manager Scott Blanchard confirms that this marks his company’s entry into the flexible PVC as well as TPE arenas and that Vi-Chem will continue to manufacture their products in the Grand Rapids location. Vi-Chem, an Americhem Group company, also serves customers in the consumer products, electrical and electronic, building and construction, and packaging industries. As part of Americhem, the company will offer an expanded range of product offerings and technologies. Vi-Chem’s plant is certified to the ISO/TS 16949 quality management system and their labs are certified to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard, ensuring capabilities in testing and calibration.
