BASF Doubles Capacity Of Non-Phthalate Plasticizer
Product is known for its excellent toxicological profile and low migration rate.
With the recent start-up of a new plant, (U.S. office in Florham Park, New Jersey) has doubled the annual capacity--from 220 million lb/yr to 441 million lb/yr-- of its non-phthalate plasticizer Hexamoll DINCH (di-isononyl-cyclohexane dicarboxylate).
The product is known for its excellent toxicological profile and low migration rate. Since its launch in 2002, this additive has become an established plasticizer in PVC food packaging, medical devices and toys. In more recent years, BASF reports that demand has also increased in the floor and wall-covering industry.
